CRER News Portal Slashes Price for Broker Self-Serve Advertising

Knoxville, TN (PRWEB) July 9, 2008 -- Specialty news service portal Commercial Real Estate Review (CRER) has just slashed the price for its Self-Serve Broker & Property Manager Advertising. The old price was $19.95 per month. The new price is $8.95 per month.

CRER publisher Pete Norris says that he hopes the lower pricing will give commercial real estate agents the incentive to use the self service advertising platform.

"Gosh, we get visitors to our CRER web site," says Norris. "It would be a shame for us to spend thousands of hours developing this wonderful platform and then not have anyone take advantage of it. This was not an easy decision to make. It had to be done, though, in order to get this small business off the ground."

The decision also included adding the feature to give outbound links from each advertisement. The agent now has the capability to add a link back to his personal web site. The brokerage firm can also have a link back to their web site from each advertisement.

"We added the capability for customers to link back to their web site. We had been avoiding having outbound links from the advertisements because we did not want visitors clicking away from the CRER web site," says Norris.

Norris says that the links back to the agent's and broker's web sites will improve the search engine ranking for their web sites.

Norris says, "We're not sure if we will make the $8.95 per month price permanent. It will be hard to cover our costs at that price. But we realize that the market is not quite as strong now as it could be. Maybe the discount price will entice agents to take advantage of the market exposure that our news portal provides."
